Description
INDIA'S BEST ANTI-TERMITE WOOD PRESERVATIVE - Pidilite Terminator Wood Preservative is an environment-friendly, natural colorless solution specifically formulated to protect wooden furniture and articles from termite and borer attacks. Manufactured by Pidilite Industries Limited, India's most trusted adhesives and chemical company, this ready-to-use wood preservative significantly increases the shelf life of wooden furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring and all wood-based products by providing comprehensive protection against wood-destroying insects.
INSTA KILL FORMULA WITH LONG-LASTING PROTECTION - Terminator features an advanced 'Insta Kill' formula with ANPEX technology that tackles all existing termites and borers almost immediately while preventing future attacks for extended periods. The powerful formulation penetrates deep into wooden surfaces to reach hidden termite nests and borer colonies, eliminating them at the source. This dual-action formula not only kills active infestations but also creates a protective barrier that keeps your valuable wooden furniture safe from future invasions.
ECO-FRIENDLY & SAFE FOR USERS - Unlike harsh chemical treatments, Terminator Wood Preservative is made from herbal extracts and eco-friendly components that do not emit toxic fumes or odours, making it completely safe for the applicator, pets, children and the environment. The transparent, colorless solution does not leave any stains or marks on applied surfaces and does not alter the natural appearance of wood. Being non-toxic, it can be safely used in homes, kitchens, offices, bedrooms and any indoor or outdoor wooden structures without health concerns.
VERSATILE & EASY TO APPLY - This ready-to-use solution can be applied by multiple methods including brushing, spraying or injection for maximum convenience and effectiveness. Easily blends and mixes with oil-based paints, primers, polishes and varnishes without causing any damage, fading or compatibility issues. Can be applied on raw, unpolished wood for best penetration or on finished wood surfaces. Suitable for treating new furniture as a preventive measure or for eliminating existing termite and borer infestations in old furniture.

How to Use
Coverage: Approximately 160 square feet per litre (or approximately 15 square metres per litre) when applied by brush. Actual coverage may vary depending on wood type, porosity, application method and thickness of coat applied.
Safety Precautions: Although Terminator is eco-friendly and non-toxic, it is advisable to wear gloves during application for prolonged handling. Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area. Keep away from children during application. Avoid contact with eyes - if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Surface Preparation: For best results, apply Terminator Wood Preservative on raw, unpolished or unfinished wood where maximum penetration can be achieved. If treating finished or polished furniture, ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, wax, oil or any coatings that may prevent absorption. For heavily infested wood with visible holes and tunnels, clean out loose wood debris from the damaged areas.
Application by Brush Method: Shake the bottle well before use. Pour Terminator Wood Preservative into a clean container. Using a clean paintbrush, apply a complete, uniform coat of Terminator on all wooden surfaces including joints, corners, edges and hard-to-reach areas. Ensure thorough coverage, paying special attention to cracks, crevices and joints where termites typically hide. For treating existing infestations, apply a second coat after the first coat has dried. Allow the wood to dry completely for 6-8 hours before applying polish, paint or any finish.
Application by Spray Method: Terminator is also available in convenient aerosol spray bottles for easy application. Simply spray the solution evenly on the wooden surface from a distance of 15-20 cm, ensuring complete coverage. The spray method is particularly useful for treating large areas, intricate carvings, corners and vertical surfaces. For outdoor wooden structures like pergolas, decks and garden furniture, spray application provides quick and effective protection.
Application by Injection Method: For treating severe infestations with visible holes and tunnels, use a syringe or injector to inject Terminator directly into the holes and galleries created by termites and borers. This method ensures the preservative reaches deep inside the wood where insects are actively feeding and breeding. Fill all visible holes completely and allow the solution to penetrate for maximum effectiveness.
Treatment for New Furniture: For preventive treatment of new wooden furniture, doors, windows or any wood articles, apply one thorough coat of Terminator on all surfaces before polishing or finishing. This creates a protective barrier that prevents future termite and borer attacks, significantly extending the life of your wooden items.
Treatment for Infested Furniture: If treating already infected wooden furniture showing signs of termite or borer damage, apply two coats of Terminator. Apply the first coat thoroughly, allow it to dry for 6-8 hours, then apply the second coat. For severe infestations, combine brush application with injection method for comprehensive treatment. Remove and destroy heavily damaged wood that cannot be salvaged.
Drying Time: After application, leave the treated wood to dry completely for 6-8 hours in a well-ventilated area before applying polish, varnish, paint or adhesive. In humid conditions or during monsoon season, drying time may extend to 12-24 hours. Do not cover or use the furniture until completely dry.
Mixing with Primers & Paints: Terminator can be mixed with oil-based wall primers in the ratio of 100 parts primer to 2 parts Terminator to create a termite-resistant coating for walls, preventing termite entry through masonry. It can also be mixed with oil-based paints following the same ratio for added protection. Do not mix with water-based or acrylic paints.
Additional Uses: Terminator can be used in drainage lines, manholes and sewage areas to keep them free from insects and germs. Pour a small quantity directly into drains periodically for continuous protection. It can also be applied to wooden packaging materials, crates and pallets used for storage and transportation.
Storage Instructions: Store Terminator in its original container with the cap tightly closed. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources and open flames. Do not transfer to unlabeled containers. Store away from food items, beverages and children's reach. Always store in upright position to prevent leakage.
Important Tips:
  • Apply preferably during dry weather conditions for better penetration and drying
  • For maximum effectiveness, treat wood before polishing or painting
  • Reapply Terminator every 3-5 years for continued protection, especially in high-risk termite areas
  • Inspect wooden furniture periodically for signs of new infestation such as wood powder, holes or hollow sounds
  • Treat both old and new wooden items in the same area to prevent cross-infestation
  • For structural termite treatment in buildings, use Terminator Structure Preservative instead

Signs of Termite Infestation:
  • Small holes in wood with fine powder (frass) around them
  • Hollow sound when tapping on wood
  • Presence of mud tubes on walls near wooden structures
  • Discarded wings near windowsills and doors
  • Weakened or sagging wooden floors and structures
