ADVANCED POLYMER MODIFIED TILE ADHESIVE - Ascolite Fixobond+ 20kg (Grey) is a premium cement-based tile adhesive with advanced polymer modifications, manufactured by India's leading building materials company, Aswani Industries Pvt. VERSATILE APPLICATION ON MULTIPLE SUBSTRATES - This high-performance adhesive is specifically formulated to work on various substrates including concrete, cement renders, cement screeds, cementitious waterproof coatings, ceramic tiles, vitrified tiles, natural stones and ASCORENDER surfaces. Suitable for tiling internal and external floors and walls up to 10 feet in height. The advanced polymer formula ensures strong adhesion even in challenging conditions, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, swimming pools, terraces and high-traffic areas.

How to Use
Coverage: 1.3 - 1.5 kg/m²/mm (by weight) or 7 - 8 sq. ft./kg/mm (by application area). Coverage may vary depending on tile size, substrate evenness and application technique.
Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, sound, dry, free from dust, loose particles, oil, grease, paint, curing compounds and any contaminants that may affect adhesion. Remove all weak or loose material. For new surfaces, allow adequate curing time (minimum 7 days for cement render/screed). The surface should be even and level. Fill any major undulations or depressions with suitable leveling mortar before tiling.
Mixing: Use clean potable water for mixing. Pour approximately 6-7 liters of clean water into a clean mixing container. Gradually add the entire 20 kg bag of Fixobond+ powder while mixing continuously to avoid lumps. Mix thoroughly using a mechanical stirrer or electric drill with paddle attachment for 3-5 minutes until you achieve a smooth, homogeneous, lump-free paste with uniform consistency. Allow the mixture to rest for 5-10 minutes, then remix briefly before application. Do not add extra water after the resting period.
Application Method: Apply the mixed adhesive on the prepared substrate using a notched trowel. Hold the trowel at 45-60 degree angle to create uniform grooves or ridges. The notch size should be selected based on tile size - use 6mm notch for tiles up to 300x300mm, 8-10mm notch for tiles 300x600mm, and 10-12mm notch for larger tiles. Spread adhesive over an area that can be covered within the open time (approximately 20-30 minutes depending on weather conditions).
Tile Placement: Press tiles firmly into the adhesive with slight twisting motion to ensure full contact and collapse of the ridges. Tap tiles gently using a rubber mallet to achieve proper bedding and eliminate air pockets. Maintain uniform joint width using tile spacers. Ensure minimum 80% coverage on the back of tiles for wall applications and 95% coverage for floor applications. Check periodically by lifting a tile to verify proper adhesive transfer.
Adjustment Time: Tiles can be adjusted within 20-30 minutes of application depending on weather conditions and substrate porosity. Work in small sections to ensure tiles are placed within the open time. Do not disturb tiles after initial setting has begun.
Curing & Grouting: Allow the adhesive to cure for 24-48 hours before grouting, depending on environmental conditions and tile size. Avoid foot traffic or any load on freshly laid tiles during this period. For external applications and areas exposed to water, wait 72 hours before grouting. After proper curing, remove tile spacers and clean joints thoroughly before applying grout. Use Ascolite Ascofine Grout or Ascopoxy Grout for best results.

Important Guidelines:
- Do not apply adhesive on frozen substrates or when temperature is below 5°C or above 35°C
- Protect freshly laid tiles from direct sunlight, rain, frost and extreme temperatures for at least 48 hours
- Do not add cement, sand or any other additives to the adhesive
- Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use before adhesive sets
- For large format tiles and natural stones on floors, mix Fixobond+ with Fixobond AD as per manufacturer's instructions
