45-MINUTE WORKING TIME FOR PRECISION - The slow-setting formula provides approximately 45 minutes of working time, allowing ample opportunity for precise positioning and adjustment before the adhesive sets. Simply mix equal amounts by volume of resin (100g) and hardener (80g) thoroughly until uniform color is achieved. Apply thin layer on both surfaces, join together and clamp if necessary. Handling strength develops in 6-8 hours, with full cure achieved in 24 hours for maximum bond strength.

How to Use
Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and completely free from dust, dirt, oil, grease and any contaminants. For smooth surfaces like metal or glass, roughen the bonding area lightly using sandpaper or emery cloth to improve adhesion. Clean the roughened surface with acetone, isopropanol or any degreasing solvent and allow to dry completely before application.
Measuring & Mixing: Squeeze out equal amounts by volume from both the resin tube (white cap) and hardener tube (red cap) onto a clean, non-porous mixing surface like plastic sheet, ceramic tile or metal plate. Do not measure by weight as the densities differ. Mix both components thoroughly using a clean stick or spatula for 2-3 minutes until you achieve a completely uniform color with no streaks of white or red remaining.
Application: Apply a thin, even layer of the mixed adhesive on both surfaces to be bonded using a spatula, brush or applicator. For porous materials like wood, concrete and ceramic, apply adhesive on both surfaces for stronger bonds. For non-porous materials like metal and glass, single-sided application on one surface is sufficient. Bring the surfaces together within the 45-minute working time and press firmly to ensure good contact.
Clamping & Setting: Join the surfaces and apply steady pressure using clamps, tape, rubber bands, weights or any suitable method to hold parts in position. Wipe off any excess adhesive that squeezes out immediately using a cloth dampened with acetone. Keep the joint undisturbed and under pressure for at least 6-8 hours at room temperature for handling strength. Avoid moving or stressing the bond during this period.
Curing Time: Allow the bonded parts to cure completely for 24 hours at room temperature before subjecting to full load or stress. For faster curing, heat treatment at 60-80°C can accelerate the process, but ensure materials can withstand elevated temperatures. Full mechanical, chemical and heat resistance properties develop after complete curing.
Coverage & Usage Tips: Araldite Standard offers superior coverage of approximately 66.7 sq.ft per kg, making it cost-efficient. Use the mixed adhesive within 45 minutes as it will begin to harden thereafter. For best results, maintain adhesive layer thickness between 0.05 to 0.10 mm for maximum lap shear strength. Thicker layers may reduce bond strength and increase curing time.
Storage of Unused Product: Always store unused resin and hardener tubes separately with caps tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not allow tubes to come in contact with each other during storage. Keep out of reach of children.
Safety Precautions: Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Use in well-ventilated areas. Wear protective gloves if handling large quantities. In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water. If eye contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water for several minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
