How to Use
Coverage: Approximately 350-400 square feet per kg depending on thickness of application, substrate porosity and spreading technique. Actual coverage may vary based on surface condition and application method.
Surface Preparation: Ensure both surfaces (PVC/acrylic laminate and plywood/MDF/block board) are clean, dry, free from dust, grease, oil, wax and any contaminants that may affect adhesion. Sand the wooden surface lightly if necessary to create a better bonding surface. Wipe both surfaces with a clean, dry cloth before application.
Application for Laminate Bonding: Apply Fevicol ProBond uniformly on one edge surface of the plywood, MDF or particle board substrate using a brush, spatula, spreader or knife. Spread the adhesive evenly to ensure complete coverage without thick patches or gaps. The layer should be thin and uniform. For large surface areas, apply adhesive on both surfaces for enhanced bond strength.
Joining & Pressing: Carefully place the PVC or acrylic laminate sheet on the adhesive-coated surface. Align properly and press firmly starting from the center and moving towards the edges to ensure complete contact and to remove any trapped air bubbles. Apply uniform pressure across the entire bonded area to ensure excess adhesive oozes out from the joint portion. Remove excess adhesive softly and carefully using a clean cloth or cotton immediately.
For PVC Edge Banding Application: Apply ProBond evenly on the edge of the plywood, MDF or block board panel. Place the PVC edge banding tape accurately on the adhesive-coated edge. Press the edge band joint firmly for 2-5 minutes under manual hand pressure to ensure proper adhesion. Use masking tape to hold the joint firmly in place during the initial setting period.
Curing & Setting Time: The bond strength develops within 4-6 hours at room temperature. Full strength is achieved after 24 hours. Apply masking tape on the edges and keep the bonded substrates under pressure for 2-3 hours before starting cutting or finishing work. Avoid disturbing the bonded assembly during this period for optimal results.
For Faster Setting (Optional): For urgent projects requiring faster completion within 1 hour, wrap the bonded edge with thick cotton cloth and apply heat using a household iron for 1 minute. Repeat this process four to five times with intervals. This accelerated method helps achieve quicker bond development, though allowing natural curing for 24 hours gives best results.

Storage Instructions: Store Fevicol ProBond in its original sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use to prevent skin formation and contamination. Store away from children, food items and beverages. Do not freeze. Use within shelf life for best performance.
